About the Job
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To teach secondary Mathematics and/or Science classes following the Cambridge curriculum, along with some administrative duties as directed by your supervisor.
- Teach approximately 75% of the weekly load; if the teaching load is lower, other related responsibilities will be allocated. These may include, but are not limited to, school events and student welfare.
- To plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge syllabus (e.g., IGCSE), ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and examinations.
- To provide a variety of learning experiences that actively engage students and cater to their individual learning needs.
- To assess, record, and report on students’ progress in accordance with school and Cambridge requirements.
- To participate in extracurricular activities such as social events, sports, clubs, and student organizations.
- To keep up to date with developments in Mathematics and/or Science education, including teaching resources, curriculum updates, and instructional methods.
- To perform all other duties related to the above as assigned by your supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology), BEd, or an equivalent relevant subject-based degree and/or an appropriate postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or PGDE).
- Familiarity with or experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum (e.g., IGCSE) is preferred.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
