Job Overview:
Sekolah Sri UCSI is seeking a passionate and qualified Primary Bahasa Melayu & Islamic Studies Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons based on the Malaysian KSSR (Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah) syllabus, fostering students’ language proficiency, moral values, and foundational understanding of Islamic teachings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in Bahasa Melayu and Islamic Studies in alignment with the KSSR syllabus.
- Teach core Bahasa Melayu skills including reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
- Deliver Islamic Studies lessons covering foundational topics such as Aqidah, Ibadah, Akhlak, and Sirah.
- Encourage active participation through interactive, student-centered, and activity-based learning approaches.
- Incorporate digital tools, storytelling, and project-based learning into lessons.
- Assess and monitor student progress through Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah (PBD), assignments, and classroom activities.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding students’ academic progress and well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, and programmes related to language and religious education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Bahasa Melayu, Islamic Studies, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the primary school level.
- Familiarity with the KSSR (Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah) syllabus is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital teaching tools.
- Passion for teaching young learners and supporting their holistic development.
