A. Teaching & Learning:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality KSSM Science and Mathematics lessons.
• Follow the relevant KSSM Dokumen Standard Kurikulum dan Pentaksiran (DSKP) and learning standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assessments, and enrichment activities.
• Deliver lessons using a variety of teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning abilities.
• Develop students’

  • Application of knowledge
• Incorporate Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) into classroom activities and assessments.
• Where applicable, conduct Mathematics and Science lessons in English under the DLP.
• Integrate technology and appropriate digital learning tools into teaching and learning.
• Relate Science and Mathematics concepts to real-life applications and practical situations.

B. Assessment & Student Progress:

• Conduct formative and summative assessments in accordance with school requirements.
• Prepare quizzes, tests, examinations, and other assessment materials.
• Monitor students’ academic progress and identify areas requiring additional support.
• Analyse assessment results and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their academic performance.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ assessment and academic progress.
• Provide additional coaching or academic support where required, particularly for examination classes.

C. Science Practical & Laboratory Activities:

• Plan and conduct appropriate Science practical activities and experiments.
• Ensure students follow proper laboratory safety procedures.
• Maintain proper records of practical work and laboratory activities.
• Work closely with laboratory personnel to ensure equipment and materials are available and properly maintained.
• Promote scientific inquiry, experimentation and project-based learning.

D. Classroom Management:

• Establish a positive, respectful and conducive classroom environment.
• Manage student behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.
• Set clear expectations for classroom behaviour and academic performance.
• Encourage active student participation and collaborative learning.
• Support students with different learning needs and abilities.

E. Student Development & Pastoral Responsibilities:

• Monitor students’ overall development and provide appropriate guidance and support.
• Act as a form/class teacher or student advisor when assigned.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic progress and development.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school orientations, open days and other school activities.
• Support the school’s student welfare and disciplinary procedures when required.

F. Co-Curricular Activities:

• Participate actively in the school’s co-curricular activities (CCA).
• Support Science, Mathematics, STEM or other relevant clubs and activities.
• Assist with school competitions, exhibitions, projects, academic programmes and events.
• Encourage students to participate in academic, STEM and enrichment activities.

G. School & Professional Responsibilities:

• Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop schemes of work, assessments and learning resources.
• Participate in professional development and training programmes.
• Keep updated with developments in KSSM, DLP, assessment practices and effective teaching methodologies.
• Contribute ideas and initiatives that enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
• Undertake other reasonable academic, administrative or school-related duties assigned by the Principal or Academic Management.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, Science or a relevant discipline.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as a teaching diploma, PGDE, or equivalent will be an advantage.

• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a school environment is preferred.
• Experience teaching the KSSM curriculum will be an advantage.
• Experience teaching Mathematics and/or Science at secondary level is preferred.
• Experience preparing students for SPM will be an advantage.
