Job Overview: Science Teacher (Secondary)
Sekolah Sri UCSI is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Science Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality science instruction to secondary school students, inspiring a love for learning and scientific inquiry. This role requires a strong foundation in science education, excellent classroom management, and a commitment to student development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons for secondary-level students in alignment with the school curriculum.
  • Teach one or more science disciplines (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at the secondary level.
  • Foster students’ analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through interactive and practical learning experiences.
  • Incorporate various teaching methods, including laboratory experiments, digital tools, and project-based learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through tests, assignments, lab reports, and projects; provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Promote independent learning and active participation in the classroom.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians on students' academic performance and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and curriculum development.
  • Support and participate in extracurricular science-related activities such as science fairs, STEM clubs, and academic competitions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching science at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter and effective classroom management skills.
  • Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools for teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in education.
